About the AI video upscaler

Most AI video models render at 720p or 1080p. The upscaler rebuilds each frame at a higher resolution — sharper edges, finer texture, cleaner faces — so a take is ready for a big screen, a client review or a 4K edit. Upscale a clip straight from your library, or upload footage you shot yourself.

1080p, 2K or 4K

  • 1080p Full HD — 4 credits a second, or 12 with Pro detail. For social, web and client review.
  • 2K QHD — 5 credits a second, or 20 with Pro detail. Sharper than 1080p for large monitors and YouTube.
  • 4K Ultra HD — 11 credits a second, or 42 with Pro detail. For large screens, cinema delivery and 4K timelines.
  • Clips up to 60 seconds · MP4 or MOV · you keep the original.

Questions

How much does it cost to upscale a video to 4K?
Standard is 4 credits per second of the source clip to 1080p and 11 to 4K. Pro detail is 12 to 1080p and 42 to 4K. A 5-second clip is 20 credits to 1080p, or 210 to 4K with Pro detail. The price is shown before you run it.
What is the difference between Standard and Pro detail?
Standard enlarges the clip and cleans up compression — quick, and light on credits. Pro detail uses a generative model that rebuilds fine texture the source never had, like fabric weave, hair and skin, so it looks sharper up close. It takes a few minutes longer.
Why does my upscale still look soft?
An upscale can only work with what the clip gives it. A 480p take has very little detail, so it will look softer than one made at 720p or 1080p. Pro detail recovers the most; making the take at a higher resolution in the first place is sharper still.
Can I upscale my own videos, not just AI clips?
Yes. Upload an MP4 or MOV up to 60 seconds, or pick any finished take from your library. AI-generated clips use a model tuned for AI footage; your own footage uses a general-purpose one.
Do I lose the original clip?
No. The upscale is saved as a new clip next to the original in your library, so you can compare them and keep both.
Which plans include upscaling?
Anyone with enough credits can upscale to 1080p, including on the Free plan. Upscaling to 2K and 4K comes with the Creator and Studio plans.
What if an upscale fails?
Your credits are returned automatically, in full, and the clip says what happened.
